Frequently asked
Can't find what you need? Call 07 5555 0123 and we'll sort it out.
What's the difference between dry hire and wet hire?
Dry hire is our 1.8t machine on its own — you supply a ticketed operator and we deliver it with excavator, auger and hydraulic hitch attachments. Wet hire includes one of our licensed drivers and is subject to operator availability; it must be requested and confirmed before the booking is final.
Do I need a licence to dry hire an excavator?
For anything on a commercial site you need the relevant high-risk work ticket or RII competency. For private residential work you must still be competent and over 18 — we'll ask a few questions before release.
Do you deliver, and how much does it cost?
Yes, float delivery and pickup runs Gold Coast wide from Coomera to Coolangatta. Delivery is $150 each way, or you can arrange self-pickup.
How long is a hire day?
Dry hire is $200 per day plus GST and covers 8 machine hours within 24 hours. Wet hire is $125 per hour plus GST with an exact 3-hour minimum. Weekly dry-hire rates cover 40 hours. Extra hours are charged pro rata.
Who pays for fuel?
Machines leave the yard full and should come back full. If it's returned low we refuel and add it to the invoice at cost plus a small handling fee.
What sizes and attachments are available?
We have one 1.8t excavator with excavator bucket, auger drive and hydraulic hitch attachments. Auger flights from 150mm to 600mm are available; rock augers can be arranged on request.
What happens if it rains?
Weather doesn't automatically cancel a hire, but if a site is unworkable give us a call and we'll do our best to shift your dates rather than charge you for a wasted day.
How do I cancel or change my booking?
Call or email with your reference number. Changes made more than 48 hours before the start date are free; inside 48 hours a one-day fee may apply.
